Udhayanidhi Stalin Condemns Brutal Double Murders in Ramanathapuram and Sivagangai, Slams Police Lathi-Charge on Protesting Families

Tamil Nadu Leader of the Opposition and DMK Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin has launched a scathing attack on the state government over the alarming collapse of law and order following consecutive double homicides in Ramanathapuram and Sivagangai districts. On September 15, a brutal double murder unfolded in Keelakarai, followed the very next day by another double killing in Kalayarkovil. Public shock turned into outrage following reports that hired mercenary hitmen in Kalayarkovil confessed to carrying out the killings under mistaken identity, laying bare the unchecked terror of contract-killing syndicates under the current regime. Questioning why police investigators have delayed arresting the conspirators who orchestrated the contract killings, Udhayanidhi voiced staunch solidarity with victim families staging round-the-clock demonstrations in Kalayarkovil. Rather than initiating dialogue with the grieving public or apprehending the actual criminal masterminds, law enforcement deployed a brutal baton charge against peaceful citizens demanding that investigators not shield influential culprits. Vehemently denouncing the police department's high-handed repression, the Opposition Leader warned that the administration's administrative complacency has emboldened criminal gangs. Udhayanidhi demanded that the government immediately dismantle mercenary networks, arrest all conspirators involved in both double murders, ensure exemplary legal punishment, and deliver immediate financial compensation and justice to the bereaved families.
