DMK Mupperum Vizha Celebrated at Anna Arivalayam: Udhayanidhi Stalin Pledges Unwavering Struggle on the Ground for Tamil Rights

DMK Youth Wing Secretary and Tamil Nadu Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin participated in the party's historic Mupperum Vizha convened at the Kalaignar Arangam in Anna Arivalayam, Chennai, under the presidency of DMK President M.K. Stalin. The annual triple festival commemorates three foundational milestones of Dravidian ideological consciousness: the birth anniversary of social reformer Thanthai Periyar, the birth anniversary of DMK founder Perarignar Anna, and the founding anniversary of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam established on September 17, 1949. The celebratory convention honored veteran ideological stalwarts and grassroots organizers with prestigious annual awards, recognizing their selfless contributions to rationalism, federal autonomy, social justice, and Tamil linguistic rights. Congratulating each of the distinguished awardees, Udhayanidhi observed that honoring pioneering leaders who braved police batons, state repression, and historic anti-Hindi agitations provides vital inspiration, connecting the movement's radical heritage directly with contemporary youth mobilization. Reaffirming the youth wing's uncompromising resolve, Udhayanidhi pledged to continuously fortify the leadership of DMK President M.K. Stalin in defending Tamil Nadu's political self-respect and economic rights against authoritarian centralization. He declared that the DMK cadre will perpetually remain active on the ground among the working masses, resisting regressive social hierarchies and upholding the ideals of secular federalism.
